To make good progress, aiming for daily quality practice is necessary. A minimum of 3 practice sessions must be completed each week. Assignment/practice sheets will be given each week. I want you to completely understand every assignment. Please ask questions, send videos during the week if clarification is required.

Each student pays a Music and Materials fee each term. This covers most of the supplemental music and materials used during the entire course of the term. This also covers any printing, scanning, or copying of music, bookkeeping, scheduling, insurance and GST.

Yes, an instrument at home is required to practice on – this is dependent on your budget as the more you spend, the better the instrument you will get.

For piano, keyboards are fine to start on if you already have them. If you need to purchase one, I recommend a digital keyboard, with 88 weighted keys and at least one pedal., or a proper piano, but please call to have a chat about your options.

For guitars, clarinet, violins, you will also require a tuner, music stand, spare strings and instrument case. Guitars will also need a capo and violins, rosin and shoulder rest. These can generally be bought in a pack from music stores.

I also recommend you have a display folder with plastic sleeves, or a binder with  plastic sleeves and a music bag : any bag that will serve like a library bag for your music. This keeps everything in one place.

Any lesson that I have to cancel will be made up or a credit will be given in next terms account.

No payment credit will be provided for students who miss lessons for any reason.

No credit or refund for music books, music library or registration fee will be given if student quits.
